  1. I was very upset by the same issue. Staying away from the news is a tough thing to do especially when one wants to stay informed on the human interest issues. In defense of the British press, they have to publish what people want to read. I kind of feel sorry for people in the media at the moment. I have been watching and waiting for the Syrian nightmare to end. It’s strange to think that a few years ago, people were fascinated by the first lady’s makeup.

    • It’s awful. I work at a newspaper group in the UK and it’s dreadful to see them put profits (ie what sells the paper) over people (ie what is, I guess, ‘real’ news). I just wish it wasn’t always about money. Difficult though, as you say. Here’s hoping that there’s light at the end of a very dark tunnel soon….xx
