Decisions, decisions

I wish I could make a decision.
Be bold and forge the way
But instead I sit and dither,
And worry what people might say.

I’m scared of looking silly.
I’m scared of getting it wrong.
I’m scared of things collapsing
And crying and not being strong.

Because I have to be perfect
And live my perfect life.
Perfect at work and perfect at home
The perfect little wife.

Can’t bear to make a slip up
Can’t bear to make a mistake
Can’t bear to hear the jeers
And snide comments people make,

So I’ll simply sit and do nothing
And worry my life away
And be bothered by unimportant things
That unimportant people have to say.
